I need some animation done - what do I do next?
Get in touch! We love hearing from people with amazing ideas. We can talk your idea through with you over the phone or face to face - all of our initial consultations are free. Once we have agreed on the brief, time scale, rates etc. we will send out a contract for you to sign & then we can get started on making your masterpiece.
What will I need to provide?
Well…an initial idea would be nice! Most of our clients provide us with some kind of a script and/or storyboard to get their idea across. We can however provide you with a storyboard based on your script. If need be, we can develop the idea with you - creating style, character and idea boards.
How much is it going to cost?
The cost really does depend on the complexity of the project, how long it will take to produce and how quickly you want the project turned around (if you need the project tomorrow, we will need to hire in extra help). We have a general daily rate in place for 2D and 3D animation work, and an hourly rate for web and graphic design. The best thing to do is to send through as much information as you can about your project and we'll draft up a rough estimate to start from. If you would like to let us know what your overall budget is, we can see what we can do for you.
Depending on the time scale of the project, we normally ask for a proportion of the estimated project fee up front before any work can commence, and the remainder payable on delivery of the project. This can be negotiated at contract stage.

  How long will it take?
How long is a piece of string? This also depends on how complex your project is. 2D animated pieces do tend to take less time than 3D animated projects. To give you an idea - we produced the 30 second “Henoo” advertisement in 15 days, and the 10 minute “As Old As You Feel” animation in 45 days.
What happens to the character rights?
If you want to retain the rights to the characters used in your production and they are designed by us, we can set up a contract passing all rights to the characters to you. If the characters are designed solely by you, you will retain all of the rights to the characters.
  What about sound & music?
We work with a network of very skilled sound and music artists and can arrange to have all sound and music produced and recorded for you at an extra cost. This cost will be arranged before the project commences.
